Conventions – In Studio Workshops

CONVENTIONS & IN-STUDIO WORKSHOPS

Providing the perfect opportunity to learn and share experiences with leading dance professionals. This is one of the best ways to hone your skills and broaden your horizons in your performing career. Enjoy various styles of classes with your friends, classmates, and peers in a fun-filled environment, whether at a venue near you or in your actual studio. Be sure to showcase your talent and have the opportunity to become our next event’s Ultimate Wings winners. 

Conventions

  • 1/2hr energy boosting warm-up
  • Master classes taught by Judges, Staff, and/or Guest Instructors (Broadway, TV, etc.)
  • 1hr to 1hr 15min per class 
  • One 1-hour Director/Teacher Master Class or Seminar
  • Master classes are offered in a range of styles (Check our performance categories for potential genres to be offered) Click Here
  • 30min Q&A & Photo opt with all instructors. 
  • Showcase: Butterflies selected by instructors in each class to represent their choreography in the Showcase
  • The battle winner will have the opportunity to showcase their solo
  • Scholarship opportunities for JR’S (7-12yrs) & SR’S (13-18yrs) in each class
  • Scholarship winners will receive a scholarship towards workshops valid through the following season
  • No Spectators under the age of 6

Who can make it to all three rounds?

  • This is a one vs. one battle
  • All Dance Styles accepted
  • Instructors determine who moves to each round 
  • Winners chosen by the Instructors
  • Judges determine round 3 winners
  • Round 1: 1 Minute Choreography
  • Round 2: 1 Minute Free Style
  • Round 3: 1 Minute Head-to-Head Battle
  • Round 3 Winners will receive our Ultimate Wings award, Convention Scholarships, become a TE Ambassador & 1 Free Title Solos for a TE Competition (Details Apply)

Convention Pricing

  • Schools receive group rates & discounts, viewable on our Studio Directors page
  • Independents are accepted for Conventions & charged $350 pp per convention
  • Independent Metamorphosis Battle $125pp
  • Spectator Tickets $20

In-Studio Workshops and/or Competitions

  • Taught by an array of professional instructors who come to your school!
  • Customize your workshop and choose your favorite genres & instructors!
  • Each Class is 1hr & 15min
  • Special Q&A session and photo opportunity with your instructor
  • Scholarship opportunities for JR’S (7-12yrs) & SR’S (13-18yrs) in each class
  • Metamorphosis Battle Competitions can be offered during your in-studio workshops
  • Our amazing Instructors will judge routines and provide you with live critiques right there in your studio
  • Competition choreography can also be made available

REQUESTING A CONVENTION

REQUEST A CONVENTION: Directors can email requests for a regional convention, mentioning the number of participants and preferred performance genres. We will accommodate requests based on availability, provided there is a commitment of 30 or more students and a deposit is made.

  • Independents are accepted (Regionals Only)
  • Spectator fees apply (Regionals Only)
  • Enjoy FREE conventions for national students, and all attendees are included in the Final Showcase Award Ceremony (Nationals Only)
  • Costume purchase and attendance in rehearsal are required (Nationals Only)
  • National conventions are closed to spectators
