Health & Safety

EMERGENCY PROTOCOLS

IN THE EVENT OF ANY HEALTH OUTBREAKS (EXP. COVID-19), SHUTDOWNS OR CAPACITY REGULATIONS THE FOLLOWING WILL BE RE-IMPLEMENTED

HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS

TE will work to implement health procedures and guidelines to be able to offer the safest environment for our attendees. We will continuously monitor our Venues, Public Health Organizations & Government/State Policies and will continue to make updates and changes, as necessary.

Practices below might not reflect all the efforts TE and the venues will take. The plan below, coupled with personal responsibility, presents our best efforts to keep our competitors, families, and staff safe.

Flu-Like Symptoms

Any staff or attendee that has flu-like symptoms, we ask that you please not attend the event.

Temperature Checks

TE will be taking temperature checks for everyone including TE Staff & Judges prior to entering the event room.

Face Coverings

Face coverings will be required for all attendees in the event and dressing rooms. Competitors may take their mask off while performing or taking classes 6ft apart. Some states and/or venues may require masks while performing and/or during classes. TE staff will always be wearing masks.

Limiting Competitor, Spectator & Class Observers Capacity

TE will work closely with our venues to ensure all capacity regulations for each state and venues are followed. TE staff will keep track of all attendees entering and exiting the events.

Depending on the Government/State Protocols, CDC Guidelines & Venue capacity will
determine if we will have one or more studios participating in the event room at the same time.

Depending on the CDC Guidelines & Venue capacity will determine the number of
parents/guardians per competitor and/or students allowed at each event location. At times TE may provide wristbands given to Directors at check in for their attendees.

TE may designate seating by the school/studio.

Dressing Rooms

TE will designate private and/or separate areas of the dressing rooms for each school attending. Schools/Studios should limit the number of parents assisting with costume changes.

Theater & Ballroom Doors

All interior doors may be open to reduce touch points depending on each venue and number of participants.

Elimination of Water Stations

There will be no water stations. We ask that attendees please bring disposable water bottles.

TE Sales Station

Although TE will accept cash and credit cards; our online store will provide a contact-less experience. No shipping and handling fees when picked up at the event.

LIVE & VIRTUAL EVENT STREAMING

Live stream will be offered but not guaranteed. The internet service in each location will determine on the schedule date which can be provided for each event location.

Scoring

No scoring deductions will be given for costumes including masks, gloves, or protective equipment during performances.

Awards Sessions

Reduced crowd sizes for award ceremonies. Studios will have a choice whether they would like awards  presented on stage or in a box to be picked up by the studio director at the end of the event.

Stages

Stage floors will be cleaned and disinfected throughout the day.

Hand Washing

All attendees should wash their hands multiple times throughout the day. The CDC recommends this as one of the best practices to avoid transmission of the virus.

Venues and/or TE will provide hand sanitizing stations.

Venue Cleanliness

Each hotel and venue have assured us they will have increased cleaning of all surfaces, handrails, elevators, etc.
