For the past 19 years That’s Entertainment has been providing educational and entertaining competitions throughout the Central and Eastern U.S. Our family-fun events & competitions offer a variety of genres such as Dance, Acrobatics, Vocal & Modeling. (New this season Instrumental)

In this ever-changing world TE looks to bring awareness to all our competitors through our Anti-bullying/Social Issue Music Videos. Our goals are to bring opportunities such as education, exposure & scholarships. We strive to build self-esteem in our competitors so they can overcome any situation they may encounter. Through these components the competitors have the potential to further develop as a performer and use these tools to be successful in any field they choose to pursue. Developing a positive attitude & way of thinking are key elements that are necessary in reaching their goals.

RoseMary Pontuck, Sr. & Joel Pontuck owned and operated competitive dance & gymnastics studio’s for over 35 years. They were also parents of a competitive dancer, which has given them great insight into the needs of their clientele.

RoseMary Pontuck, Sr. – CEO 

Rosemary Pontuck Sr. founded & directed her own dance & gymnastic studio’s in the New York Metropolitan area for over 35 years. In addition, she has produced and directed over 600 shows in her career. During the early 90’s she served as the stage manager for the National Tap Dance Day with Savion Glover, and the Nicolas Brothers. RoseMary has also worked with Honi Coles, Milt Hinton, Gregory Hines, and many other successful dancers. In the year 2000 RoseMary & Joel Pontuck founded That’s Entertainment Performing Arts Competition, formerly known as Dance Arts Plus. Over 400 events have been produced and executed since its inception.

Joel Pontuck – Executive Producer

Joel Pontuck trained at the YMCA and is a former Bronze Medalist of the NY Junior Olympics. He apprenticed at Coin Maloney Productions. In 1973, Joel and RoseMary became a team, adding Gymnastics to StarMaker Dance Studio’s repertoire. He also produced and directed over 600 shows. In the early 90’s he and RoseMary (his wife) collaborated on many projects.

RoseMary Pontuck, Jr. – Director

RoseMary Pontuck grew up, studied and taught in her family business StarMaker Dance & Gymnastics Studio. She was also accepted and studied dance at Talent Unlimited Performing Arts High School in Manhattan. Currently she teaches & guest teaches for multiple studio’s. From the moment, her family opened their Performing Arts Competitions RoseMary has been involved. The last 8 years she has brought unique experiences to the competition, adding in Judges Audio Critique Applications, Studio Interviews, Anti-Bullying/Social Awareness, Free Singles and Music Video opportunities. She is also the CEO of Foreign Republic Media Group, LLC ; an entertainment business specializing in dance, music & film. RoseMary has worked alongside with celebrity dancers such as Buddha Stretch, Virgil Gadson, Russell Ferguson and many more.

Darrel Williams – Asst. Director

Darrel began his professional entertainment career at the age of 14, recording and performing live at local and regional festivals, events, parties etc. Sharing a similar passion for science Darrel graduated from Medical Arts High School and continued his studies at Central State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.  During his studies at Central State University, Darrel continued to practice his entertainment career in the Music Industry. By votes and performance, Darrel became the ‘International iChooz.tv Contest Winner‘. Darrel has worked along side Music Industry professionals from Def Jam, Epic Records, Sony, Universal and more. He also had his music streamed and played in constant rotation live at Dave & Buster’s (Philadelphia), Comcast Cable and broadcasted live in international countries like Brazil, Germany, Spain, and Lithuania. Darrel currently owns a recording studio and audio production company with credits including Delsea Pharmacy,  Tanger Outlet Malls (Foxwoods Resorts & Casino), Annual Festivals, Couture Fashion Week (NYC 2014), and more.
